How long will it take for my jewellery to arrive?

It depends whether I have the piece in stock or not. If it is a one-of-a-kind piece, or one of my in-stock items, then I will be able to dispatch within 5-7 working days. If I am making from scratch, then dispatch will usually be between 10-15 working days, unless the item needs a hallmark. In this case, I will let you know.

If you are placing a bespoke order, then we can discuss making and delivery times when you make your enquiry.

What if I change my mind?

That’s fine, and I completely understand. My full policies on cancellations, refunds, returns and exchanges can all be found here.

How do I know what size ring or what size chain I need?

Don’t worry, I can help!

There are lots of different ways of getting to your ring size - one of the best ways is carefully to measure in mm the inside diameter of a ring that already fits. You’ll need to let me know the depth of the ring you are measuring, because a wide ring usually needs to be made a fraction bigger than a narrow ring to sit comfortably on your finger. If you are in doubt, I can send you a little paper ring-sizer in the post - just let me know.

Chain length is a personal preference. Within the product information, I usually state what chain length I prefer with the style of necklace - but I am more than willing to provide a different length to suit what you like best. Have a look at the chain length guide to help you decide.

How should I care for my jewellery

Silver tarnishes naturally over time, as it is exposed to the oxygen in the air. The best way of keeping your jewellery looking lovely is to wear it, because the constant moving of the silver on your skin helps keep it clean. You really should take it off, however, when you are bathing or swimming. You might also find that antibacterial handwash also speeds up the tarnishing process. When you are not wearing your jewellery, it is advisable to keep it in an airtight box, along with the little anti-tarnish tab that I will enclose with your order - this should protect it for a few months.

When your jewellery starts to look like it needs a little bit of extra sparkle, then the most effective thing to do is use some soft lint free cloth to polish it gently. If it is particularly grubby, you could try a soft toothbrush and warm soapy water.

For some pieces, I include a small silver-polishing cloth that is impregnated with silver cleaner which will delay tarnishing as well as helping get rid of any tarnish.f any tarnish.

How can I be assured of the quality of the silver of my jewellery?

All of my jewellery is crafted using recycled sterling silver. This silver has been collected from the waste of various industries, including the jewellery trade, and reworked to create sterling silver sheets and wire. My gold-plated jewellery is 9ct fairmined gold. You can find out more about how the purity of silver is assured by reading the information about hallmarking.
