Wear your wedding dress every day

I will need a small off-cut of the lace from your dress to create a truly bespoke piece of jewellery. Bangles, rings, earrings and necklaces can all be made, and cufflinks work beautifully too, if you’d like your groom to match!

I will work with you to decide a design before I use the lace, which you will need to post to me. Your jewellery will then be made in my Nottingham ‘eco’ workshop using recycled sterling silver. Pieces above a certain weight are individually hallmarked by the Edinburgh Assay Office.

Prices start from £50, and depend on the nature of the design and the silver content.

There is usually a lead time of about 8 weeks for commissions, but I can confirm this when we discuss.

How it works

Elegant and timeless pieces are created using off-cuts of lace from dresses that have been worn in the past or will be worn in the future.

Brides-to-be are able to preserve their dress in jewellery that will last a lifetime. Brides-of-the-past are able to wear the memory of their special day long after the dress has been put away.

Capture your special day by preserving your dress in a unique piece of jewellery that will last a lifetime. A perfect thank you gift to your bridesmaids, or a love token for your mum.

Denis and Margaret

Denis and Margaret Rhodes, 30 March 1957

Denis and Margaret Rhodes got married in March 1957, in Stathern village, Leicestershire. They were the second generation to get married there, and their daughter, Jane, followed in the same tradition. Jane approached me to see if I could capture her mum’s wedding dress lace in some jewellery. The dress has been sitting in a box under the bed all these years, and Jane loved the thought of waking it up again!

Jane wanted a tiny pendant, and we settled on two curved petals, one a little larger than the other so that it would show a bit more of the lace pattern. The original intention was for Jane to wear either petal, but she’s actually loving wearing them both together on the same chain. The petals are crafted from 100% recycled sterling silver and lace from the hem of Margaret’s wedding dress, made over 60 years ago.
